On the 15th of November 2022, FIRE-RES together with the other fire-related projects (SILVANUS, TREEADS, FirEUrisk and FireLogue) took part at the IX International Conference on Forest Fires Research in Coimbra, Portugal. The conference covered the main topics related to fire management from a research perspective.
During the Conference, the FireLogue project coordinated a session dedicated to presenting important wildfire research initiatives in Europe, specifically on the issue of risk management, in the presence of EU representatives. FIRE-RES, together with the other fire-related projects presented their main objectives and recent outcomes.
This session strengthened the discussion between projects and policymakers on the major steps required to define a roadmap to synergistically cooperate towards improved Wildfire Risk Management research in Europe.
