This year, the General Assembly of the FIRE-RES project will take place in Bordeaux and Mimizan (France), from Tuesday 8 October 2024 to Thursday 10 October 2024. The event will be hosted by IEFC, the partner leading the Living Lab Nouvelle Aquitaine, and co-organised with CTFC and the local partners including SDIS, Municipality and Tourist Office of Mimizan.

The event will gather European research structures (CTFC, INRAe, etc.), fire risk prevention and control actors (SDIS, DFCI, ARDFCI), companies/associations specialising in financial innovation and impact projects (Blueforest, Nactiva), as well as forestry stakeholders to take stock of recent innovations in forest fire prevention and management.

Not only this will be a moment to share the results and progress of FIRE-RES, but it will allow explore the site-specific features of fire prevention and control in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The General Assembly will be open to the public on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 October upon registration, while the attendance for Thursday 10 October is planned for project partners only. To facilitate participation from local stakeholders, the event will be held in French and English, with simultaneous translation available.
