What’s This Survey About?

As part of the Innovation Action 1.4 “Integrated Fire Management Model: Bases, Demonstration, and Piloting Activities”, we are creating an open-access database filled with well-documented experiences of prescribed burns across different regions. This repository will be an invaluable tool for researchers and fire managers, providing insights on the effects of prescribed fires on a variety of elements—fuels, vegetation, soils, air quality, wildlife, and more.

Why Your Input Matters

This database will allow fire researchers to connect with site managers and support meta-analyses on diverse aspects of prescribed burning. If your site has hosted previous or ongoing research involving prescribed burns, your experience is crucial to this collaborative effort.

How to Contribute

Our survey is designed to gather site-specific information, even for areas with multiple burns or experimental plots. Simply select all relevant options to provide a comprehensive picture of your site’s burn characteristics. We aim to make this process straightforward, and completing the survey should take no more than 20 minutes.
