Two FIRE-RES activities organized by Xunta de Galicia will take place in the framework of SEDEXPO 2025, the International Security, Defence, and Emergencies Fair, from March 26 to 28, 2025, at the Feira Internacional de Galicia ABANCA in Silleda, Galicia, Spain.

Workshop on Fire Resilience

• Location: Forestal Room (end of Pavilion 1)
• Description: This workshop will focus on exploring the issues caused by wildfires on small rural communities, with a focus on strategies and practices to enhance fire resilience in forested areas. Experts will discuss prevention methods, emergency response tactics, and the integration of new technologies in fire management.

International FIRE-RES Symposium “Extreme forest fires”
• Date & Time: March 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Location: Forestal Room (end of Pavilion 1)
• Description: This session will provide insights into current challenges in forest defense and the measures being adopted to address them, including Innovation Actions and Living Lab insights from FIRE-RES.
