“Shepherds of Sustainability: Ecosystem Services & Pastoral Practices” Workshop

The LIFE ShepForBio second international event, “Shepherds of Sustainability: Ecosystem Services & Pastoral Practices Workshop,” in collaboration with Fundación Entretantos and Fundación Global Nature. This event is part of the 7th edition of Territorios Pastoreados, focusing on extensive livestock farming and grazing in Spain. FIRE-RES will take part in the workshop with contributions from Cecilia Fraccaroli (EFI) about pastoral PES and examples of reducing biomass accumulation through targeted livestock grazing.
The workshop will take place in the afternoon of Wednesday 18 September, followed by the projection of the documentary “Mujeres de viento, tierra y ganado“, dedicated to the shepherdesses’ network “Ganaderas en red“.
Participants are free and welcome to stay in Lugo longer, to join the other activities of Territorios Pastoreados which will continue until Saturday 21 September. The translation service Spanish-English will be guaranteed on Thursday 19 September too.
